Lapar Mata Kitchen
Lapar Mata Kitchen was a new restaurant opening in Bali, a family-run business offering authentic Indonesian food made with the highest quality, locally-sourced ingredients. This flyer would serve as their launch’s print advertising to visitors and locals on the island.

Concept
I wanted to tell stories in this flyer that everyone who loves food could connect with. As a family-run business, I told Lapar Mata’s story of the mother-daughter duo at the helm. Their relationship feeds this new venture, and their love is infused in every dish.
Next, I wanted to tell the story of Lapar Mata, meaning “hungry eyes” in Indonesian. Annisa and Reza have strong opinions about the culinary arts, and so telling the story of why they opened Lapar Mata deserves attention.
Lapar Mata is more than a restaurant, more than just food. It’s a community. The flyer also includes the recurring event schedule at Lapar Mata, focusing on health and wellbeing.
Lastly, it was important to tell the story of Amed. Lapar Mata is located in Amed, on the east coast of Bali, not as tourist-saturated as the rest of the island — but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful.
