Inc Authority Communications

As a Copywriter and UX Researcher, I wrote numerous email communications, and created product landing pages for Inc Authority. This is a sample of the work I’ve done, ranging from technical writing to marketing emails.

Landing Page

With the launch of Inc Authority’s new product, NearMeNow, I wireframed and wrote the copy for this landing page. NearMeNow is a location marketing tool that lets users add and manage their business’ listings in online directories.

Target: existing Inc Authority customers (small business owners)

Goal: add NearMeNow to their services, get location marketing to strengthen their small business’ online presence

Content: why location marketing is valuable, statistics about local marketing’s importance, pricing, NearMeNow capabilities

 Email Communications

Website Builder + 30-day Trial

I created this email to market Inc Authority’s Website Builder, a platform that lets users build their own website using powerful and intuitive drag-and-drop features. They were running a free 30-day trial promotion to let users try Website Builder before committing.

Target: Inc Authority customers who have purchased a domain and haven’t purchased any website design products yet

Goal: convince new domain owners to try building their own website by taking advantage of the 30-day free trial

Subject Line: Build the Website of Your Dreams — Your First 30 Days Free

Preheader: Create a website with delightful templates, built by designers. Free for 30 days.

Content: 30-day Free Trial details, Website Builder benefits

Domain Selection & Registration

Inc Authority noticed that customers had purchased a domain and email package, but had not chosen a domain name and registered it despite having already paid for it.

Target: Inc Authority customers who have purchased a domain as part of a package, but haven’t chosen and registered their custom domain name

Goal: remind customers that they have purchased a domain and still have to choose a custom domain name; and let them know that the longer they wait, the less likely their desired domain name will be available, therefore they should do it as soon as possible

Subject Line: Action Required: You still haven’t registered your domain — act fast

Preheader: Act now. Time is running out to register your website domain.

Content: reminder of domain non-registration, caution about waiting too long to do so

Website Builder: Updated but Not Published

This email was part of a campaign to get dormant Website Builder customers to finish building their websites and hit publish on them. This email consists of some technical writing to demonstrate to users that it only takes a few steps to publish their site.

Target: Inc Authority’s Website Builder customers who have logged into the platform at least once, but haven’t published their site yet

Goal: showcase video tutorial, explain the 5 easy steps to customize and publish their website

Subject Line: Website Builder: Finish Your Website

Preheader: Create and publish your website in minutes

Content: reminder to publish site, video tutorial, instructions to use Website Builder to build and publish website

Website Builder: Has Not Logged In

This email was part of a campaign to get dormant Website Builder customers to log in and start creating their site. This email differs from the previous one in that it is written in a marketing-style to inspire users to take action.

Target: Inc Authority’s Website Builder customers who have never logged in

Goal: remind customers that they are paying for Website Builder, showcase video tutorial, explain how Website Builder makes website design easy

Subject Line: Website Builder: Build Your Website in a Few Clicks

Preheader: Create and publish your website in minutes

Content: notification of inactivity, video tutorial, reminder of Website Builder assets, explanation of how certain features help speed up the website design process
